Lovely summer is here! The time for warmth, happiness, growth, and enjoying the longer, sunny days. Citrus oils are energizing, happy, invigorating and great mood uplifters.  Their fresh, bright aromas make them the perfect oils for summer. Use them for cleaning, diffusing or wearing on essential oil necklaces or bracelets.

Mandarin Essential Oil

Mandarin essential oil has a deep, rich citrus aroma. Mandarins are like the heirloom tomatoes of oranges and seen as a symbol of prosperity and good fortune in Japan and China. Cheerful mandarin is safe and gentler for children, pregnant women, and the elderly. During times of grief, depression, or sadness, mandarin is supportive and uplifting. Red mandarin is cold pressed from the rind of the matured fruit.

Relaxation Diffuser Blend

3 drops Mandarin Essential Oil
1 drop Lavender Essential Oil
1 drop Clary Sage Essential Oil

Add drops into the diffuser. Diffuse at work to calm stress or when guests are over for a cheerful home.

3 Ways to Use Mandarin Essential Oil

  • Diffuse in the home when babies, pregnant moms or the elderly have upset tummies
  • Put 1 drop in a bowl of steaming water. Cover your head with a towel and steam for 2 to 5 minutes when you have a sore throat.
  • Add 1 to 2 drops to a cotton ball and inhale deeply to help calm hiccups

Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon essential oil is high in limonene making it a strong antibacterial and antiviral oil spectacular for cleaning. Uplifting and having the distinct lemon peel aroma, lemon essential oil’s aroma creates a cheerful, uplifting mood. Diffusing lemon essential oil in the home will create an energizing, happy sensation. Lemon essential oil is incredible for supporting the immune system. It is cold pressed from the rind of the fruit.

Homemade Hand Sanitizer

1 oz (2 tbsp) Aloe Gel
5 drops Lemon Essential Oil
6 drops Orange Essential Oil
3 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
2 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
2 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Add drops to aloe gel. Shake well. Great for on the go protection against germs.

4 Ways to Use Lemon Essential Oil

  • Diffuse in the home to purify and clean the air
  • Put a few drops down your kitchen and bathroom drains. Follow with boiling water after 20 minutes to clean your drains naturally.
  • Add a couple drops to dishwashers
  • Add a few drops to mop water

Lime Essential Oil

Lime is aromatically one of the strongest citrus oils with its recognizable, sour, and bright scent. Lime, like lemon, is high in limonene and is antiviral and antibacterial. We recommend steaming for a fatigued mind. Lime essential oil is a good immune boost during cold and flu season.  Cold-pressed lime essential oil is phototoxic. Avoid using it topically for at least 12 hours prior to going out in the sun or tanning bed and make sure to properly dilute.

Cellulite Remedy

1 ounce pump container, glass, or PET plastic
1 oz (2 tbsp) Aloe Gel
8 drops Cypress Essential Oil
2 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil
3 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
3 drops Lime Essential Oil

Add essential oil drops to container. Add aloe gel. Cap and shake. Apply once or twice daily to cellulite. Lime and grapefruit essential oils are phototoxic. This blend should not be used for at least 12 hours before going into a tanning bed or out in the sun. Best to use nightly before bed.

5 Ways to Use Lime Essential Oil

  • Diffuse in the home to purify and clean the air
  • Add 1 drop to a bowl of steaming water and steam with a towel over your head for 2 to 5 minutes

  • Add 40 drops to 8 ounces unscented hand soap
  • Add a couple drops to dishwashers or mop water

Grapefruit Essential Oil

Grapefruit is detoxifying, cleansing, and a happy essential oil. Cold pressed from the rind of the fruit, grapefruit has the well-known tangy, sour yet sweet aroma. Grapefruit essential oil is great for cellulite as well as jet lag.  Our grapefruit essential oil is currently from South Africa and is certified organic through the farmer. As a strong antibacterial oil, grapefruit can be added to other natural cleaning products for combating germs and keeping the home smelling wonderful.

Overindulgence Topical Blend

Add the essential oil drops to the jojoba oil. Shake well and rub on back of neck, tummy and chest or add to a bath.

3 Ways to Use Grapefruit Essential Oil

  • Diffuse in the home to brighten, celebrate and uplift moods
  • Add 8 to 10 drops to 1 ounce coconut oil. Mix well and apply to lower back and tummy to combat jet lag.
  • Add a couple drops to the inside of your toilet paper roll to freshen up bathrooms
