With Spring just around the corner I thought it would be a good time to share some recipes and tips on cleaning with essential oils. The EPA has found most homes are 5 to 10 times more toxic than the outside air. This is mostly due to all the chemical cleaners in our home. Most essential oils support our immune systems. They are better for the environment and help you save money too. Citrus oils are a good start because they are highly antibacterial and antiviral. Peppermint is one of my favorites to use in cleaning products because it hangs out and gives a bright and uplifting aroma in the home. Peppermint and vinegar are antiseptic too. Strong antibacterial and antiviral oils include cinnamon, clove and oregano.
