The recipe is the perfect blend of aloe, sunflower oil and five essential oils that help stop germs in their tracks. The base ingredient of the homemade hand sanitizer is alcohol with skin moisturizing aloe juice and sunflower oil to combat the dryness.

The next antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic, anti-fungal and immune-supporting ingredient is lemon essential oil, which is cold-pressed from the rind of the fruit and has countless beneficial purposes besides sanitizing your hands!Lemon Essential Oil

Next, the perfect complement to the recipe is happy, and uplifting cold-pressed orange essential oil, cheerfully contributing its own antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic, anti-fungal and immune-supporting superpowers.

Peppermint Essential OilPeppermint essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the peppermint plant and adds antiseptic strength to the homemade hand sanitizer. The antibacterial, antiviral, antiseptic and anti-fungal properties of tea tree essential oil contribute as well.

Homemade Hand Sanitizer

The CDC recommends at least 60% alcohol in a hand sanitizer.  In light of this information, we have revised our recipe for you with 75% alcohol. 
3 oz or 6 T. isopropyl alcohol or 150 or higher proof vodka or grain alcohol (like Everclear)
1 oz or 2 T. aloe juice
Funnel the aloe juice, sunflower oil and alcohol into the 4 ounce PET plastic spray bottle, then cap, shake and drop into your purse, kid’s backpack, pocket, travel bag, beach bag, diaper bag, car storage bin or other easily accessible places.
