Fragonia™ essential oil is a very special and unique oil. It is one of the newest essential oils on the market and is produced by one farmer in Western Australia. The latin name is Agonis fragrans. It is important to know the latin name when purchasing Fragonia™ and to look for the trademark symbol after the name as this ensures that you are buying the species and chemotype discussed in this blog post. Aromatically, it has a floral undertone with a slight opening sensation in the nose similar to eucalyptus. From a chemistry standpoint it is well balanced among three chemical families, a very rare and unique occurrence in an essential oil. In most essential oils there is one or two dominant chemical families. With the synergy of chemical families present in Fragonia™ essential oil comes a wealth of emotional support and inner peace. Fragonia™ also offers support for many physical ailments. It is highly anti-microbial and can be used in place of or in combination with tea tree essential oil. It has a more pleasant aroma than tea tree and is gentler on the skin.
