When I want my home to smell like fall, I reach for my diffuser and a few individual essential oils. This blend has the warmth of cinnamon and clove, with Red Mandarin to give it a fresh, bright lift. It’s my easy go-to fall diffuser recipe, and it’s easy to mix yourself.
Fill your diffuser with water according to its instructions, add the essential oils, and turn it on. That’s it—your own cozy fall scent, made from three single notes.
Cinnamon and clove essential oils are airborne antimicrobial essential oils helping to create a germ-free home environment. They are also good deodorizers helping to get rid of odors. Red mandarin essential oil is high in limonene which is a good immune supporting component. Red mandarin is also mood uplifting and brightens the aroma of this fall diffuser blend recipe.
Red Mandarin brings a sweet, juicy citrus note. Cinnamon Bark adds familiar fall warmth, while Clove Bud gives the blend a deeper, spicy finish. Together, they smell cozy without letting the spices overwhelm the fruit.
The three oils are easy to adjust once you’ve tried the original recipe. If you want more citrus next time, add another drop of Red Mandarin. If you prefer a gentler scent, use fewer drops overall, especially in a smaller diffuser.
Cinnamon Bark and Clove Bud are strong essential oils, so I like to diffuse this blend for short periods in a ventilated room. Follow your diffuser’s directions, keep the oils and diffuser out of reach of children and pets, and give pets a way to leave the room. If you have birds, skip diffusing essential oils in your home.
Have you tried making a fall scent with individual essential oils? I’d love to hear how you like this one.
