Antifungal Essential Oils

Kokokahn Antifungal Essential OIlsTropical storms, lazy days at the beach and summer barbecues are all things I love about summer in Florida.   But with summer also comes mold and fungus especially with the high humidity that Florida’s tropical storms bring.   I use a lot of antifungal essential oils during the summer.  Two of my favorite antifungal essential oils for the home and body are lemongrass and geranium.  And I especially love them combined together.  Lemongrass is high in neral and geranial, good antifungal components. Geranium is high in antifungal citronellol and is gentler on the skin than lemongrass.  Other components with strong antifungal properties include cinnamaldehyde found in cinnamon and 1,8 cineole found in eucalyptus globulus.
